? abt the p90

why did ruger change the way they finished the top of the breechblock portion of the barrel
they used to finish this part of the barrel almost flush with the top of the slide
i notice now a days some of them stick up above the top of the slide almost 3/16 of an inch
to me it just ruins the lines of the top of the gun
i still love em tho dont get me wrong
and would love to own another one
but would prefer it to be one of the smoother lined ones

I agree - the older P series with the flush fitting barrel looked better. I guess Ruger decided to cut costs and this was one the ideas they came up with. Gives the pistol an unfinished look - but does not affect shootability or durability.

I thought there was DAO P90 available at one time as well.
