bolt release spring

remington 700 bdl,.223 replacing trigger with rifle basix,but this spring just fell out,and i cant figure out where this goes,can anybody tell me or has a good drawing of where it goes?

Got your message and decided to post here in case someone else has the same problem.

When I installed my Shilen, I didn't realize the there was a spring until I found this schematic. http://www.e-gunparts.com/productschem.asp?chrMasterModel=0860z700

Look at parts # 4 and # 7.  That shows the correct orientation.

The spring described above is the bolt stop spring.  When the trigger assembly is removed there is also a small coil spring freed.  This is the sear spring.  It holds the sear up for the return of the trigger to prop it up.  It is part number 52 in the diagram provided above.  If you are replacing the trigger the sear spring will not be used by the new trigger, the bolt stop spring will be needed regardless.  Good luck!
