A question of asthetics? I've got it in my head I need to replace the composite stocks on my new SS 209X50 (hasn't even arrived yet) with laminated. E. Aurthur Brown has 'em at pretty good prices.

I like the one Hardwood has pics of here on the forum which is blued with the nutmeg. I'm wondering if the nutmeg or pepper would look best on a stainless gun. Anyone have any pics to share to help me decide? Doesn't matter if it's muzzleloader or rifle, 'cause I'll likely use laminated for all of my barrel set-ups.

I have a stainless 209x50 that I've ordered a black&gray laminated stock for. Haven't received it yet. I must admit, that nutmeg on blued gun of Hardwood's is looking pretty good. It's got me thinking about a blued frame to build up for a second gun. D*** those Encores!

I really like the pepper laminated with a stainless gun. I think T/C's website under the new Omega muzzleloader shows a picture of a stainless gun with pepper lam stock. That being said, I own a Rem700 Mtn Rifle that is stainless with the nutmeg laminated stock that looks pretty darn good too!! Blued with nutmeg is a great combo as well.

Oh well .... I guess it's just a matter of personal choice, then, since they all look pretty good in any combination!
