Trying to match sights
« on: January 04, 2005, 08:46:14 AM »
I've recently mounted a williams peep sight on my 336sc 35rem.  My original front sight is too short and I'm hitting too high with the peep adjusted all of the way down.  Anyone know what front sight would match my rear? (sight that is)

I dont have the number handy or I would post it for you, but I would call Williams directly and talk to one of the techs. Thats how I have always ordered my sights and have yet to go wrong that way.

There is a sight adjustment software at realguns.com that will tell you how much higher a front sight you will need
Ex. my cb with 26" barrel was shooting 6" high at 100yds. with my wrgs sight adjusted all the way down. the fix? a new front sight that was 0.043" higher. In practice I"d get one a little higher than that so my sight didn"t have to stay adjusted all the way to the bottom
