I can look at that pic and keep it in context.
It does remind me of the old site and something BM would post.
Jeff is a respected member of this site and is just trying to inject a little humor from the past to those who got a kick out of BMs twisted thinking. He is not trying to resurect BM and with good reason although the pics might show otherwise.

For the record, I think left unchecked BM would ruin any forum. I am against him being resurrected in any way. I did not see any reasonable humor in his antics....<><....

My only concern with Jeff223 posting the BM stuff is that the hammer will fall on a good guy not intending any malice.
Jeff223 has been a great member and contributor to this and other forums. I hope he doesn't get in trouble.
The Mortie stuff never caused me to loose sleep in the first place, but some folks became very irate with his quality of life.
Any time I have posted anything that would even conjured up memories of Mortie, GB would edit it, so me thinks GB doesn't care for it in his house.

i removed the avatar picture and i also edited the picture so all will be happy.this was all done in fun but i guess i was wrong about that.i have found that you cant make all the people happy all the time.there are many people out there with no since of humor and i must learn to deal with that.so for those of you who didnt like the avatar and picture i posted I AM SORRY and i hope you forgive me for posting something like this.i know the memories of just seeing a picture like this is more than most can even bare :roll: :roll:

also keep in mind RV ,i really want to respond to some of their childish and mickey mouse remakes about this avatar and the picture in differant way but i am useing my best judgement here.i think it will work out better that way

Hmm, dunno what I missed yesterday while my computer was on the blink but have an idea it might be for the best I did miss it. BM is just a bad memory here. I'd prefer we leave it that way and not try to refresh bad memories. Some images can get a member into more trouble than they can get out of first time out of the hole. Dunno what I missed here but porno if that's what it was will get you canned FIRST TIME I see it. No excuses and no exceptions.

No harm done Jeff...I for one got more than one chuckle from ole BM'S BS posts on the old board (he did get carried away at times though!!) and that is exactly what they were. Also for those that might have doubts...BM was a made up character ..not a real person....Kind of like a cartoon character. :wink: ....Your right...."you can't please everyone all the time"[and don't bother sweating by trying either!]. I think some of the guys on the old board could have bennifited from a little more fibre in their diets.. :roll: ...no harm done maliciously by you so on that note.......move along folks...nothing to see here....

Every time I read one of your posts, which I do like, I had to look at that god awful avatar. The intelligence clash was so obvious to be nausiating.

Also I did not want to be impolite to suggest that there was somthing wrong with your values. What I had in mind for some time was to ask you to remove the avitar and replace it with a nice real picture of yourself.

I am very happy that you removed the avitar. As far as BM goes I had some real good laughs at times. Also most of his stuff was simply insipid.

Some of the newbies here probably don't know me as RV. I guess being "Old school" has it's perks! I'm hoping to get three cards ready for the PM. Now I sure hope you show up this time. I love getting beat by good competition.

I always thought the BM postings were satire, written by someone having a chuckle at our expense. My worry was that a visitor to the site might think his postings truly represented the viewpoint of us gun owners.

I'll also add my apology in here. I surely didn't mean to offend anyone, and do apologize if I did. I saw humor in Jeff's post, and gladly joined him in that light. I obviously miscalculated when I thought most of you would also have seen the humor in Jeff's post. I'm sure that was Jeff's only intention, and I know for a fact that it was my only intention. I'll try to be more aware of the feelings of others in the future before I post.

I don't get all the ruckus over a silly picture. I can't see how anyone could have affected grown men so much that they throw stones at one of their own simply at the sight of a picture or the mention of a name. Let's get over it and move on.
