A peep sight for a Single action pistol.  Take a look.

I've got one on my NMBH 41 mag, 6 1/2 bbl. Sure helps these old eyes with bi-focals.

These actually work as a ghost ring rather than a peep----since it is so far from the eye. I use one on my SBH Hunter .44mag and I like it . but it would be even better if paired with a gold bead front sight or maybe even a fiber optic----would give a more specific point to center in the ring. Anybody out there tried this conversion? If so would you share some info on where to find the parts?  Thanks, pg

Lloyd---it AIN'T a peep!!!! I have a set of express sights on one of my FA mod.83's and with a bead front, this would work in a similar fashion---with Both eyes open, target aqusition is fast and plenty accurate for hunting purposes out to 50-75 yards----try it out!!!!      pg

I just shot a Ruger Blackhawk with one of these the other day.  Well, it was actually nearly the other night, so I couldn't see too well.  It was good for picking up a fast sight picture, or would have been if there was more light.  I was also partially blinded by the muzzle flash of the gun, which didn't help.  All I can say is, whatever powder Wilbe Lead was using in his 357-44, the orange fireball sure lit up the night.

I've also tried the wide-v, express style sights, besides standard factory.  They all work, once you get used to them.

Ill stick to a good rear like a bowen and a black thinned post front. Best ive found for accurate shooting and low light shooting.

I have used this rear sight on my Ruger 22/45 for about 2 years now--faster acquisition for me.  It has enabled me thus far to continue on with challanged eyesight at pin shoots without the use of red dots. I use the 9/32 and believe that the benefit-to-cost ratio for me is definitely worth it.   I also have seen that it works well with new/young shooters on 25yd soda can perforating.
