I don't know about the mag, but the hm2 is quiter than a 22lr. :D

If you're looking for quiet, you may want to look at the HM2. The HRM is a bit loud for "quiet" pest-control work. I've not fired the HM2, but if it's that quiet, I may check it out. The quietest RF loads I've used are CCI CB Longs and Aquia Super Colibris, but they don't have much range.
