Guys:
Stumbled into an opportunity to buy a like-new Model 22A, with the upgraded gray anodized bolt, scope rail and varnished wood grips...from an estate sale. Asked for and got an opportunity to take it to the range last night and I wasn't impressed. Put about fifty rounds through it; the gun stove-piped three times and five rounds failed to go off...all of which were stuck by the pin, but lightly. Tried T22's, Wolf and Blazers.
I'm going to give it a good cleaning and oiling tonight, then I'll try it again this weekend. I sincerely doubt if this gun has more than 100 rounds through it as it is as close to NIB as they come. BTW, I know it was purchased new in March 2004.
I've read somewhere that these guns won't feed low-velocity rounds very well...but the hotter rounds work better. Still, seems like too many problems for a new gun in like-new condition.
Your thoughts and experiences please!
