.22 barrel liner

I have an extra Romanian bolt .22 in .22 long rifle. I would like to have the barrel relined to a faster twist (1 in 9 or 1 in 10) to shoot Aguilla's 60gr .22 rimfire round.

Any one know of a manufacturer of such liner? Installation cost?

ESLB  It ain't worth it.  Probably a few hundred $   Get a 22 mag or Hornet.

Try Redmans/  I don't have a web address for them but they advertise in GunList regularly and produce most of the liners sold...  You may also consider a rebarrel as I have seen barrels available for the heavy bullet specialty rounds.  They affer very little advantage other than working better in a silenced weapon.  The subsonic rounds loaded by many companies provide good accuracy with standard twists and usually better accuracy at the same time.  They are sometimes listed as standard velocity or target ammo.  The Winchester T22 and the Remington SubSonic HP rounds have proven consistant performers for me..

  clodbuster, I agree if it's that expensive, was hoping for around $100.00
total. Already have a couple of Marlin .22 magnums, also have a MK-10 Minni Mauser with the chamber shortened and rechambered for .221 Fireball. With 6 gr. of Greendot it's a lot of fun and CHEAP to shoot! (cheaper than .22 magnum).
  gunnut69, have found the same to be true with standard sub-sonic, just like the looks of the Aguilla 60gr round, can't get it to shoot in anything I have.

   If you want some fun see if you can get some of the 22 rimfire mag bullets. They are copperclad[?] or something and respond REALLY good to lower velocities in the 221. I got mine from a guy at a gunshow who brings them in from Australia. Really cheap say, 20.00/500 or so. Keep the velocity down around 2700 or so. I use them in my Mod 43 218 Bee too. Really a hoot to pot a Crow.
