I'm wireless for 25 bucks

Got the KE 150 keyless entry system from Bulldog Security on sale at Northern tool. It has a starter immobilizer relay that I was able to make work for an old 12 volt JS cassette caller. It is supposed to be good for 400 feet. I have yet to test it out in the field.

I think there is room for all of God's creatures....... right beside the mashed potatoes.

Foxman, open the PDF file for the KE150 from bulldogsecurity website. You can see how it is set up for the parking light output "positive parking lights" Im pretty sure it is the same relay for both that and the starter imobilizer. I did things a little different because I want the relay to be dead when the unit is off. I hooked up the orange wire from the control module to the terminal marked 86. The black #85 and blue #30 wires are to 12volt constant fused. The top wire, yellow to parking light circuit #87 is my 12v feed for the unit. I used the same plug they supplied for the starter imobilizer i just snipped off the diode and moved the spade connector from the middle (87A) up to the top #87. I turn the unit on by pushing "lock" and off by pushing "unlock". The center #87A is not used. There is a relay inside the main conrol module that supplies a constant negative on the orange wire which will run the caller (unit) that way but I thought the extra relay might add some protection for the module beings it is designed to work that external relay. From the main module I hooked up the red to 12v constant, the black to ground and taped up all the rest of the except orange. I found a digital car cord adapter (Powerline 0900-21) that has all these different plugs for Walkmans Discmans and the like at wally world for $14 bucks. It has 3,4.5,6,7.5,9and 12volt settings on it (must check DC polarity first). It plugs into a cigarette lighter plug. I haven't tried to energize the remote system with anything but 12 volts yet. I 'm still trying to come up with a lightweight 12volt rechargeable battery pack for my unit. That 4 wheeler battery weighs 10 pounds!!
