Scope for .22lr
« on: December 19, 2004, 04:09:04 AM »
I just purchased a new Marlin 7000 and I'm now impatiently waiting for it to arrive.  Anyway, it says that it comes with 1" ring scope mounts already mounted.  Will any scope work with these or are there specific kinds?  Any good sights that you would recommend for a .22 shooting at 75-100 yards?  Thanks in advance.

hey

i think you will probably be best suited with an adjustable objective scope of some type only because most 3x9x40 and other deer rifle scopes have a parralax setting at 100 yds  if you wanted to sight in your .22 at 30 yds
or shoot closer than say 45 yds you might have a problem with the view
on a scope like that
depending on your budget you may find the burris rimfire a/o scopes might fit your needs i think they have a 3x9x40 a/o now
you can find plenty of rimfire info at rimfirecentral.com if you need some more info  real good guys over there lots of good info

Bushnell has an airgun/rimfire scope in 3X9 with the AE that would make an excellent choice.  Scope comes with or without the AO.  Mine is without because I set it up for hunting.  Focuses close and costs around $65.00
