I've just started doing some reloading for my .454 and have a couple of decent loads one with the Hornady 240 xtp mag and one with the Speer 250 JHP; I can't seem to find one for the 300 XTP MAg. Anyone use this and if so what powder are you using? Thanks

Using Hornadys 300gr XTP Mag using W296 32gr is max Rem 6 1/2 primer, lee factory crimp. Aim small hit small. RAMbo.

P.S. Hornadys powder manual has this load using the 300gr XTP HP/XTP Mag. Varois powders used, H110, Lilgun etc...can't remember them all.

LFP 30.0 gr w296 1,560 fps CCI SR guest
100 yard 18 shot’s 4"group Oregon trail .454 good hot load

JSP 29.5 gr Win 296 1,600 fps Winchester
Suggested starting load: 26.6 gr

Pressure: 38,000 PSI

JSP 31.5 gr Win 296 1,750 fps Winchester
Suggested starting load: 28.4 gr

Pressure: 50,000 PSI

XTP 29.5 gr ww 296 1,600 fps max" SR guest
very acc. load

I have experimented with many different cast and jacketed bullet weights out of my Encore .454 barrel. If you want to see me targets, go over to www.hunt101.com and search for "selmer" under member pages. All of my targets are on there, good and bad.
