Bodyguard Arrested on Airport Gun Charge
Thursday, January 20, 2005

NEW YORK Â— Filmmaker Michael Moore's (search) bodyguard was arrested for carrying an unlicensed weapon in New York's JFK airport Wednesday night.

Police took Patrick Burke, who says Moore employs him, into custody after he declared he was carrying a firearm at a ticket counter. Burke is licensed to carry a firearm in Florida and California, but not in New York. Burke was taken to Queens central booking and could potentially be charged with a felony for the incident.

Moore's 2003 Oscar-winning film "Bowling for Columbine" criticizes what Moore calls America's "culture of fear" and its obsession with guns.

Dont you people realize that they are important, they deserve to be protected, they have a NEED to have a gun. The rest of us are just the low lifes of the world and have no importance.

It is just to bad that someone doesnt do a story on them and how they have armed escorts/body guards. and ask the question, how can you spew garbage about how evil guns are and the people that own them, but yet you feel it is ok for you to have a gun or be protected by someone who has a gun? Nobody on TV has the nads to do that.

Moore has something in common with Rosie O'Donnell. If I'm not mistaken her bodyguard was caught packing heat illegally too. This was after the incident with Tom Selleck on her show.

Come to think of it, Moore and O'Donnell have many things in common.

Gee how ironic...Moore makes a movie on how bad airport security was (is) and slandered our president then his bodyguard was carrying an unchecked firearm in an airport. No comment :evil:
