I tried this question on the semi-auto/pump forum and it was suggested I ask on this forum. My question is about the stamped steel dust cover. When the bolt is in the forward position, the cover is tight in the front of the ejection port, but loose in the rear of the ejection port and it rattles and jingles when I walk. It appears to be a common thing with 760's. I've noticed on the 7600's they have a plastic dust cover, and even though it appears to hold tight and not jingle, I've been told that they tend to crack, and the plastic looks kind of cheap. I would prefer to keep the stamped steel dust cover, and quiet it in some way that doesn't involve my finger applying pressure on it while I walk. Is there any ideas on how to solve this, or do I need to just live with it. Any help would be appreciated.
