I took a deer with a 300 grn. .44 bullet fired from a .50 cal. muzzle loader. It punched a hole through the deer that was abt. 2 1/2 in. in dia. The strange thing about it was that it left no blood shot meat, even the ragged meat around the hole was blood free. Shot at abt. 40 yrds. I don`t know if that was a freek or normal. I also saw a 250 gr. that was recovered that was recovered from a coyote shot at 150 yrds. plus end to end and just under the skin. The mushroon was picture perfict.
