I am looking for a reliable supplier of two parts for a 1911 Colt with "U.S.Navy" on the slide, made in 1912. Yes, it is a valuable gun, but needs the proper hammer and also the proper magazine, which has a lanyard loop and is also two-toned in color. The hammer apparently has a small cut or cut-out not found on other 1911 Colts.
These are the only two parts not up to snuff on this pistol. My nephew's father-in-law was offered $2,000 for the pistol as is at a gun show in Washington, and had lots of folks following him around wanting to see it.
Sure would appreciate any help you could give me on this.
