Newbie Needs Some Help
« on: January 18, 2005, 02:34:57 PM »
My Dad has a revolver that he purchased long ago and knows nothing about...I'm just trying to gather some information about it.  Here is what I know about the gun:

Harrington & Richardson Arms Co.
Double Action Revolver (Hammerless)
.38 Smith & Wesson
4" Barrel (approx)

I don't know much about handguns, but have never really heard of any H&R revolvers.  Is this a quality gun, or just a cheapo?  And the 38 SW, is there any other ammo that could be fired out of this gun (like the 38 special in a 357)?  Is this gun worth anything (i'm thinking not)?

Thanks in advance for the help!

H&R are typically considered lower quality guns. The 38 S&W is not interchangeable with other 38 rounds.
