After a week-long wait my my Enfield No. 2A finally arrived! It had been FTR and seems to be in great shape. I'm not crazy about the pot metal buttplate or the one stamped sling swivel, but otherwise it is a wonderful.

I am looking for a 5-shot magazine for my No. 2A to use at the range and perhaps while hunting. Recent discussion on another message site indicated the 5-shot magazines available from ProMag were not reliable.

I seem to remember back when the "Ishapur Rifle" site was still active there was discussion of an individual who was making limited capacity magazines for .303 and .308 Enfields. Does anyone have any information as to where to find a good reduced capacity magazine?

Jim B. I regret I don't have the addresses of those who may make a five shot magazine for that SMLE but in the past we just made a wooden magazine block to prevent the mag from holding more than 5 rounds, and never had a problem with the Game wardens when they would check us out. HTH. Mikey.

Promag makes a 5rd. mag for the Ishapore.
