By hooked breech, do you mean it has the tang curving down the stock?  If so, it does.  If not I'm not sure what you mean.

Oh, forgot to mention, I ordered Sam Fadalas book today.  Have to wait about 2 weeks :( , but am gonna scrounge up some lead in the mean time.

Hooked breech means there is a hook on the breech end of the barrel that hooks into a recess in the tang....by removing the barrel wedge and ramrod, the barrel can be lifted out of the stock....on some rifles the lock must also be removed or at least loosened. :wink:

Wonderlube is a non-petroleum product used for lubing patches, greasing bullets and general metal protection on muzzleloaders. It's loved by those that use it correctly, hated by those that don't. I prefer the T/C version of BoreButter in the pine scent, doesn't smell like I've hurt myself! :)
