what does anyone think of a k4? I want a fixed 4 power for my 30-06 and like the price($125). Or should I save my money and get a Burris or Leupold.

If you have the money and want to spend it - Go Leupold. But if you want to save a little and still have a "GREAT" scope - go Weaver. There is nothing wrong with the Weaver scopes. I own 4 of them - and one is probably older than a lot of folks here. It been handed down three time. Weaver are very clear - Leupold - had more clarity at the top end - 18 to 20 power. But your not looking for that.  I love the fixed scopes and wish all of mine were fixed - like my KT15 Weaver. THere are just good scopes

If you are looking for a fixed 4x scopes, than I would not rule out the Nikon Monarch 4x40.  This is a great scopes. I believe that it is brighter and clearer than most of the other brands.
