Need help with proper ring height

What ring height in Weaver top mount rings do I need to mount a scope with a 49mm (OD) objective (nominally, 40 mm)? I am guessing the high rings based on Midway USA tables.

high mounts for a 40 mm objective lens.....i know it is 49 OD but still HIGH??

I would probably use low-medium (whichever works best) in Burris Signature Zee rings.

Here is what Weaver state right on the detachable rings packaging:

Low - For Objective lens diameters up to 40mm.
Medium - For Objective lens diameters of 40mm thru 42mm
High - For Objective lens diameters of 42mm thru 44mm
X-High - For Objective lens diameters of 44mm thru 50mm.

Those Weaver recommendations will usually insure that the scope does not touch the barrel, but they don't take in to account the Rear of the scope. Things like safety and bolt clearance depend on the make of the gun, and you might need to go a step higher than what's listed.
