Alot Of Blue Dot left Over
« on: February 05, 2005, 09:42:57 AM »
Had eliminated my Bluedot/240gr jacketed in the .45 Colt as a potential load for last Deer season not so much because of accuracy problem, but more of a point of impact thing with my fixed sight Vaquero.

Am thinking of trying the bluedot with some 300gr jacketed..13.3 to 14gr for 950 to 1,000fps.
Is this load worth the cost of the bullets?
Thanks

I ended up at 11.0 grains of Blue Dot with the 300 Hornady XTP.  Mild but accurate in my SS Blackhawk.

Steve's Pages lists a range of from 9.0 to 14.0grs with this powder & 300gr bullets, altho he doesn't list any velocities. Too many variables, I guess. jd45.
