stock sights

Ok, was using 300grn sst with 80-110 grn pyro rs at the range and noticed that even with the ramp sight all the way foward, I was still hitting like 4 inches low at 50 yrds.  What am I doing wrong?  The groups were ok, but the sight was all the way to the top front of the ramp and could not be adjusted any more.  I realize that the sabot may be arcing up still at 50 yrds???  Any help would be great.  Should I just go to 100 and see if it hits paper?  Also tried some 300 grn xtp with no change in impact point.  I also noticed that in order to get windage correct, I had to move the rear sight a fair amount to the right ( am lefty).  All are hitting midline, just low as heck @ 50 yrds.

If they are Williams sights, they might be able to send you a higher rear sight top if all else fails. I have that same problem with the new universal slugger sights I bought for my TDC shotgun. Slugs were shooting way low with the rear sight nearly off the base and I still had to put the front sight base in the notch to hit at 50 yds. Williams is sending me a higher rear sight top.  They had several different heights to select from.  However, the gun with factory sights should not have that problem.

They are the metal williams stock sights.  It was really wierd as about 6 inches low at 25 and 4 or so at 50 yards with the index marks on the sight at the last mark to the top.  I could go higher, but half the sight would be off the ramp.  I was thinking of going with a rear peep anyway as I feel it is more accurate and I am used to them with my compound bows - all you have to think about with them is the front sight.  Any ideas which ones fit on the pre drilled holes we have for the scope mounts?  You want a peep as close to the eys as possible and would not want it where the stock sight is.  It should work fine with the stock front sight.
