17 HMR barrel 21"

I'm looking for a 21" 17 HMR barrel, Where is the best place to find one. The 23" barrel are easy to find ,but I would like a 21". I have a .223 in 21" and a 22 hornet in 21". I'm looking for this just to plink with. Need to just find places that sells these over the internet. I also have a super 16 in .22 lr. that I just love to shoot.  :grin:

All new contender rifles are 23" in length.. 17 hmr was not out when 21" barrels were being made.. the only way for a 21" is cut it off your self and recrown,,,,or buy custom the best bet and the cheapest way for that is Fox Ridge custom shop..The cost would be about 25$ more than a standard factory barrel..but there will be a wait...

I have yet been able to shoot a 3 shot sub 1" group at 100 yards ...........on any deer!!!!!!

there is a 21" barrel on ebay that closes in about 12 hours. listed under thompson contender if you are interested. not my auction. there is also another guy with a buy it now only option listed that shows 21" barrels also-new. his listing is on last page at this time.  dave

Midway had the 17HMR in a 16" length. I got one and prefer it to the 21" or 23". Less weight and easier in the thick stuff

Thanks to all that replied and to the ones who sent me the link to the midsouth yard sell page. I now have one comming from them. And at a good price  :grin:  Going to replace the 21" .22 Hornet barrel with this one cause the ammo is cheaper. Now I need a scope and base.

YEAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! I received my new contender carbine 17 HMR 21" barrell today from Midsouth Shooters Supply. Hopefully I can try it out this weekend. Need to get it cleaned up, mounted and buy some ammo.
