Howdy all, Santa put a Rifle Basix trigger sear in my stocking. Gave me blisters there so I installed it in my 93 22 Mag with synthetic stock. Installation was a breeze with the included instructions. Tested for safety by hitting the side of gun with palm of hand, bruised hand. Hit buttstock on carpeted floor, scope made funny noises. No safety issues were apparent during at home testing. This included moving safety to fire position after trying to pull trigger. (read about this possible issue on Rimfire central)

Range test tomorrow, weather permitting.

Trigger feels alot different now, hope to get a better feel for results with a live fire test. Hopefully the Simmons scope that came with the rifle was not damaged during my testing. If it was a Swift 3x9x40 will be ordered from EABCO for this gun.

Old trigger was sloppy and quite heavy. I didn't feel comfortable stoning the sear myself and put the Rifle Basix sear on my Christmas list. I had cleaned trigger group and such previously but it didn't help the feel of the trigger. Right now, this addition to the gun seemed like a wise choice and a good investment.

Please keep us informed. I have 93 in .17 hmr and have been considering
the same trigger. So I will keep an eye out for your results.

Range time seems to be scarce this week. Worked late Mon. and Tues. rain forecast for Thur. :cry: . I will post any and all observations here as soon as I can.

One note off the top of my head. When replacing the rectangular clip on the safety pin, use a screwdriver or some such tool. When it just doesn't want to seat it will slide under your fingernail with great force, causing you to recoil in pain sending said clip flying with great speed somewhere in your work area.

In my safety and function tests the trigger felt completely different. Pressure......click. My first "target" trigger. Old trigger was pressure plus grind plus more pressure then finally a click near the back of the trigger guard.

Migth just say to heck with the rain and go to the range.

Been there, done that to a 93R17. The trigger is a dream now. It is my first grab as a squirrel gun but I sure burn up a lot of ammo just for fun. My granddaughters boyfriend and I will be out at my range Saturday to shoot guns and the .17HMR will be there amongst others. What better way to start the New Year than on the range with two good kids and a bunch of tight shooting guns.

I installed the Basix sear in my 93. I was suprised at the results as there is still a lot of take-up before let off. I don't know if it is an adjustment mistake on my part or that is the way it works. As it is, it seems to be a high priced version of the shim under the trigger group that worked quite well.

Adjustment takes some patience. The two adjustments are interactive, and things change a little bit when you put the action back into the stock. Take your time and move the screws small amounts each time. I had it close a couple of times, then went to far. Keep at it and the reward is a great trigger. Make sure that it is safe (no bump fires etc.) when done. Forgive me but the safety freak in me makes me add that last bit of advice.

I was going to try a Rifle Basic trigger, but instead I added a .025 shim front and rear between the trigger and the action on my 93RBVSS this morning and cut 2 coils off the spring.........total price .57 cents.......made a huge difference and I now have a very nice trigger at around 3 pounds with no creep.

I shot the rifle for the first time today and had several 5 shot groups in the half inch range at 100 yards........

I can't wait for a crow as I've heard the hummer will turn them into ghost.......

What about yotes? I'm thinking the little hummer might be plenty!

Yep.....I'm impressed.....
