Gee, Thanks Rick!

It was great to see another Mtn Rifle, your shop, the big mortars and most of all, make your acquaintance.  :)

Rick was very generous, passing on good tips, answering questions and best of all, an invite to come meet his NSSA team.  Before I left, he gave me every 2.25" pellet type bolt in the shop and I got to pick up 200 lbs of soft, pure lead for a great price.

This forum has a lot of good people and it was very nice to meet another one of them in person.

Very nice gun and mortar too!  Got to make one of those ammo boxes you've got there, sure would tidy things up in the field.

You might know the story, others reading this might find it interesting:
A book i have, Mosby's Confederacy- A Guide to the Roads and Sites of Colonel John Singleton Mosby, tells the story of his Mountain Rifle. The cannon is now on display in the 45th Infantry Division Museum in Oklahoma City,Oklahoma.

What is the date for this event?

TBA.  It takes some coordination with a couple of families - their activities come first as they own the turf.

Usually we've done it starting the planning for June or July.

I thought this was the year for the western shoot?

Really doesn't matter since we will be passing by  Pulaski somewhere around the 8th or so of  March.

The object in that second pic looks like it was left out in the rain.  Naughty, naughty.
