Butler Ford, I can't tell from your post what guns you want to load BP for. Handgun cartridges are much easier than say BPRC. Mike Venturino has books on all these which are very good. Especially the SPG Black Powder Primer for BPRC. For handguns, this stuff is really not rocket science, Just fill the case with BP with a bullet touching it and shot. The real secret is "trigger time". Load up a 1/2 dozen diffent "test loads" with different powders, pyrodex, TTT, ShurShot, etc. and go shoot them. Keep records and shot over sandbags. After you have one or two loads that have the "accuracy" potential, then load 50 ea. of these and shoot them all and see if the guns still function through the fouling. If this load is what you want for your purposes, then congradulations. Your are done! This in a nut shell is what the books will tell you. Good Luck! Have fun! Make smoke! PS. If you are trying to load BPRC the best thing to improve the learning curve is to join a gun club where they shoot these things and find a mentor and a coach.
