I'm new and  I'm going to ask a crazy question. Has anyone ever heard of a nef/h&r rifle or one of the big 10 gauge shot gun frames rebarreled or rechambered in 50 BMG?

They can't handle the pressure, and they are so light it would tear your shoulder off anyway when you lit one off. :shock:

The 10ga is big, but it's still only 11,000psi max average pressure shooting ~700 gr projectile at 1100fps compared to the 50 BMG's 750gr bullet at 2600 fps. BIG difference..... :eek:

After you make and shoot yours, make sure you have it video taped, cause someone else will probably have to make the post. :( ,

I doubt you'd be in any kind of shape do do much of anything, assuming the gun didn't blow up in the first place.

Hey y'all, watch this. :-D  :)  :-D  :)  :-D  :)  :D Not too make light of the situation but I am like the others and would like too see pictures when you light one up. Seriously the shotgun barrell isn't anywhere big enough to handle the amount of pressure developed by the BMG round. The shotgun barrel is way to thin. :D

quickdtoo thanks for the information, I understand what your saying.I wasnt aware of what the operating pressures were for the ten gauge. :-)

As for the other guys, Just because I'm new to the forum doesnt mean I dont have any common sense.  :?
