cast out the RCBS #45-230CAS slug.  It is identified as a 223 grain Cowboy Action Sport slug for the 45 Colt, 45 Schofield and 45 Auto Rim?

This slug was written up in Mike Venturino's recent article on the 45 Colt, in the Handgunner Magazine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.  Mikey.

I've got that mold. I use it in my 1911s the meplant is rounded just enough to feed well. with wheelweights it weighs right at 230 grains and is very accurate in my guns. Any further info just let me know.

harley - thanks, that is just the application I wanted to use it for.  Now, does anyone cast those slugs commercially that you know of.  I am looking for a small supply to test out in my 45 autos and would rather find a commercial caster rather than to begin casting myself, again.  If all else fails, I will purchase a mold and find someone locally to cast me out a couple of hundred or more.

I do like that big flat metplat on that slug.  Looks like a whopper.  Thanks.  Mikey.
