Crow Magnum Gone From Beeman's??????
« on: March 08, 2005, 10:42:39 AM »
Just went to the Beeman web site and noticed that the Crow Magnum is missing from their sporting rifle line. Go to http://www.beeman.com/sr.htm to see the new line of Beman Sporting Rifles. Wonder what is going on? Lawdog

Theoben has dumped Beeman as their US importer. I'm not sure if they are going to sell Theoben marked guns directly here or what, but there seems to something going on with Gamo. Similiar goings on at Airgun Express, where RWS marked guns are no longer being sold. They are being replaced with Diana-marked guns imported directly from  M&G Dianawerk GmbH in Germany.

Check over at www.pyramydair.com - RWS guns are still being sold. I also wonder about the Beeman, though!

RWS is/was the sole importer of Diana guns in the US, and AGE in the past has been the past the major dealer/repair/warrantee center for RWS marked air rifles. RWS has been dropped by AGE in favor of buying direct from Diana, thus becoming the only competiton for RWS in selling new Dianawerk guns here in the US. RWS guns are still available from other airgun dealers, but as for repair service that remains to be seen.

There has been a shake up going on at Gamo every since they acquired BSA air guns.  I believe they are trying to finally shake the bad reputation they have.  Lawdog

If they are trying to loose the bad reputation, maybe they should start in the customer service department, namely warranty service and parts availability. Maybe if parts were available to Gamo owners ala Crosman Customer Service, more Gamos would be sold to serious shooters.
