I don't get to the board often, but I was just reading on another topic where someone mentioned that Marlin is going to drop the 1895M. Is this verified or just internet guessing?

Mike,

I live near a large firearms distributor in the midwest and he tells me that Marlin is have manf. problems on some lines of their guns. I have been trying to get a SS GG for about 4 months and they are not to be had. I've heard stories of dealers having several of these rifles, but upon closer investigation, find they really don't have them. Marlin is not the only gun-maker having these problems.
