Well it finally happened. Yesterday while at the range I was sighting in my Virginian Dragoon after mounting a 2x scope. Everything was going well until I noticed that the cylinder was no longer locking up properly.

I stripped it down last night and discovered one of the arms on the bolt/sear spring had broken off. I've already checked with Numrich Arms, the gun parts corporation in West Hurley, NY and they don't stock this part. Now what am I to do.

Any suggestions?

www.gunpartscorp.com/. If that fails, find a CAS shoot. I'm sure someone around there that's 'tuning' guns can make you one out of music wire like the old fast draw shooters used to. A lot of gunsmiths can do the same. Have the pieces in your pocket so they have the dimensions.

I am pretty sure the Colt/EMF bolt/sear spring will work.

Give them a call and ask for their tec guys and they should be able to
tell you yes or no. If they won't work you can follow that design and
make one yourself out of music wire that will work.

I wish Brownells had a pic of that creature. I might be able to tell if it would be close enough to make work. Looking through the gun parts corp catalog last night found me looking at the schematics for the EAA big bore bounty hunter. That gun looks very similar inside and out to what I already have. I'm hoping that it's close enough of a copy to work. I'm probably gonna' try them and the folks at Brownells.

That paper clip looking thing just to the left of Mfr: Wolff is the cylinder bolt/trigger spring on Brownells web site.
