Maxima Ring Height ???

Planning on mounting some scopes on two encore barrels.  First will be a Leupold Vari-X II 4-12X40AO on a .223 24" factory barrel.  Second will be a Leupold Vari-X II 2-7X32 on a 209X50 barrel.  My question is will the medium height rings by Warne work on both of these set ups?  Using Warne Maxima bases of course.  I'm trying to buy with as little guess work as possible.  Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

Warne rings

It'll clear the barrel easy, but the bell of the scope may sit right over the rear sight on the Encore.  Shouldn't be a problem on your .223, but it may be on your 209X50 (different rear sight and shorter scope.)  My state doesn't allow muzzleloader deer hunting with a scope, so I can't help you there.
