It pays to experiment with all sorts of pellets to find what a gun likes. Like 22 LR guns, pellet guns often have a preference. But for serious accuracy at distance it seems the really knowledgable guys generally prefer domed pellets ( round nose not pointed). An outfit called Straight Shooters sells sampler sets in .177, .20, .22, and maybe .25 cals. I think there is about 36 different types (25 of each) in the .177 kit. Look for them with Google. Crosman Premiers both heavy and light and Beeman FTS are popular with many shooters. I think RWS may offer smaller sampler kits of their pellets but don't know where to buy them - might try with some of the Gray Beard advertisers. Good luck.
