Hey Shaner, sorry to here of your illness. I work in the medical feild(not a doc) but I get one every year (except this one so called shortages But that goes back to the previous administration & the policy's) I believe in it & the more often you get them year after year you be come more immune IMHO. Or if you do get it it is shorter & less virulent with shots. Take care the boy loves his hornet but I have not got it to group great, just have a wood forarm, may bed the barrel in it being an extra light

one hole :gun4:  hang in there it will get better
That's my boy, GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

I found the quickest way to kill the flu is to go swimming in very cold water, and when you finaly quit shaking its completly gone.I've got friends that have done the same thing and it works for them also ( They sure don't like to tell about it though)Whatever warms the body up in a crisis will burn the flu right out.The easiest way is 4 cc of Penicilian ( I know the doc's says it wont work) but you ask a very old Doc and he will will agree with this. The Indians used the cold water treatment for thousands of years and it worked for them.  Digger

I've always used the opposite approach. I sweat and pee the bug out.  To begin with I'll drink lots and lots of fluids, water, juice, tea, whatever until I feel like my teeth are going to float.  Then I'll take a shot of Niquil (sp?), don sweat pants a sweat shirt and even heavy socks and climb into bed and burry myself under every blanket in the house and sleep for about 10 hours.  When I crawl out of the pool of sweat at the end of the 10 hours or so the bug is usually pretty much gone.

Hey Digger, far a couple of years I met with a very diverse group around January 1st and we would meet at one of the local beaches (remember I live on Cape Cod near the ocean) push the ice floes out of the way (if there were any but there was not salt water ice near the beach every year, it depended on temperature, winds and current). Anyway, at a given single we would disrobe to our bathing suits and run in for a nice swim, and after the initial shock IT WAS STILL COLD!!!
when we we left the water the bystanders, all dressed in winter coats and standing there shivering, would always offer us towels and blankets to warm up, of course after leaving the water we would be warm in the cold air!!! I don't think I ever caught a cold from doing that and I always great after!!! I kind of lost track of doing it because the day and date was never the same. Now that you have me thinking about it I'll try to get together with the group next year and do it again, your all invited!!! Every newcomer gets a certificate and the opportunity to lead the way that year!!!....<><....

DD, since salt water freezes at about 28 degrees and there were ice floes where we were swimming I would think the water temperatire was just around 28 degrees, If you ever get up this way in the winter you are welcomed to jump in and swim around a bit and then tell me if 50 degrees feels any different that 28 degrees, I would like your input and opinion!!!....<><.... :-D

(by the way was that air temperature or water temperature of 50 degrees?)

Not quite sure if it's the flu yet....but I am feelin' like crap today. Sore throat, drowzeness, light headed, stuffy nose. Started a little bit last night when I was at the local firehall watching the Superbowl. That sure was a good game!!

Be careful with the heavy vit C doses, that'll give ya kidney stones and I'd rather have 1000 colds than to have one more stone!  I used to take heavy vit C doses and was told that it would cause stones......it did, spent a week in the hospital in '84...but I survived!
