Hello, first day here. Thanks for having me.
I just bought my first Handi - Rifle in a .243 synthetic. I have sent it to the factory to have a .270 barrel added. I plan on using the reduced recoil loads for practice and the .270 for deer hunting.
My problem is I would like to shorten the stock and add a Pachmayr pad, especially for my wife and kids. I think I need to buy a wood stock to be able to shorten the stock and enable the pad to be fitted correctly.

If so, where should I order the stock? Is there a company that would custom the stock (shorten the LOP) and install the Decelerator pad?

Hello Pepaw Welcome to the forum!

I am sure some one will come in tell how to get a stock you want. You can order Wood stock from H^R,
There is also a pop add at the top of the For stocks, safe shooting

:grin: Welcome aboard check out gun stock`s .com there on the flashing banner. Or go to H&R site you can order stock`s off them. o yea gun stock`s .com will cut stock`s to your spec. and install pad`s. Rich

You could buy a youth synthetic buttstock from NEF that will be shorter.
