223 ultra spoke today

My first kill with the ultra this morning, young male coyote, dropped in his tracks. The only way you could tell it was shot was a small trickle of blood from the entrance wound. 40gr. ballistic tip. nice fur friendly round if today is any indication.

good going on your yote.the Nosler BTs are one good bullet for sure on varmints.ive never had a bullet exit on coon or woodchuck shot from 30yds out to 247yds.my son has shot a couple yotes and never had a exit hole.you may find the bullet will exit on fox because there isnt much to them.

A friend uses the 50's and usually  gets the same sort of performance, except when you hit a big bone.  Then you can be prone to entry craters.  I do want him to try the 40's just to see.
