Well another handy deal sealed. Yesterday Went looking for a 22lr pistol for my son's BD coming up looked at alot was going to get a DA but I picked up a BEAR CAT & fondled it. love the size and weight. DA's were all too heavy of a triger pull so I took the Bear cat. I know you are thinking what has this got to do with a Handi. Well I went to the range to break the pistol in & plink etc well there was a fella there with a 223 ultra 22in bull. He could not put 2 holes together looked like a good Shoot gun patern, any how he says I should sell this doggone thing YOU know what I say, HOW MUCH.

Well he can't make up his mind & I pull out green cash count out $160 & say thats what I got if ya want to sell it. He wants to try one more load 62grs I think to myself OK I'll go & shoot my pistol & see what happens well 20 min later he comes by with the gun & says If you want it it is yours.  I asked if he tried any winchester and he says yes
It did no better he said now I cant belive that so I say you sure he says yes.

Today ran  out to walmart & I picked up a white box of winchester.  2.5 in group :wink: DO the O-ring thing 1.25 in gr :-D  :-D  :-D

giver er a good cleaning shoot about 100 rounds clean some between and I bet she straightens right up. 160 is a hell of a deal. is that cinnamon laminate stock....? I think those are pretty, and I want a cinnamon for my 880 SQ to match to. :D

One Hole, You are the lucky old dog you!! Why you even had $160.00 in cash on you all at one time!!! Now that I'm retired I don't usually have 160 pennies with me all at one time That sure was a great deal. Did a scope come with it? If so what kind? I have been at the range with people who would complain about their guns shooting 6" groups, then myself or someone else would shoot it and immediately the groups would shrinK to 1-2" but the owner would never admit that it was the shooter!! Now I'm not the best shot around but can usually hold the group on the paper.  Some "experts" with expensive set-ups out there really don't deserve them, they might as well be throwing rocks...You did good buddy, that's a good deal....<><.... :grin:

I'm not as addicted as some here,,,yet...but I just got my stainless synthetic 223 handi the other night.  Found it on the shelf of one of the areas oldest truest gun and fishing supply only stores.  There's not many of that type dealer around anymore,,,not here anyway.
I didn't mind it costing a little more than I could of got it from a larger chain store either,,,had to part with $270.

So here's another question now about the ammo.......I know all or most here recommend the whitebox 45 gr hp,,,that's the usa/gov stuff from winchester..right?
I've noticed recently that UMC is now offering a value pack in the same bullet design for a great price....200 rounds at a couple pennies less than a $50 bill.

Has anyone tried the umc?? Does it shoot as well as winchester?

I was considering buying another loading press,,,but at these prices I can buy a lot of ammo for the cost of loading components.

I was lucky to have the cash was out shopping for a pistol & that what was left over. Good thing I didn't buy that $500 Smith :grin:  this way I got 2 a Bearcat & a handy. Bear cat was no steal 325 in stainless but it is sweet. I sold a few things put in some overtime & wala.


As for you folks that are retired you time off is much more important than $$ wish I had more time to play & spend time with family & friends but I do all right.
