When I reported about my K31 having 80% blueing that is kinda misleading as the top part of the reciever is like that which is normal as that gets a lot of handleing. I have bought Mausers in the past and Mosin Nagants that the blueing was washed out looking. The rest of the reciever except for the top part on my K31 is a deep rich blue as well as the whole barrel. The bands and the butt plate have some patina. The Swiss must have had a good rust blueing process or a good hot blue recipe as the blueing on this gun is a rich blue color. Really nice. I was happy after taking the stock off to check the stock serial numbers how nice the rest of the gun looked. Jim
