G2 209X45 with conicals?
« on: February 08, 2005, 04:04:18 PM »
I have a Thompson Center G2 in 209 X 45.  I have found several saboted bullets which shoot good with the 1-28" twist.  The question I have is whether anyone knows of any conicals which shoot accurately in the caliber/twist combination.  I am craving a full caliber projectile other than the Powerbelt.  Any advice is appreciated.

I am interested in this as well.  I ended up with a 45 G2 as a result of a gun swap.  It wouldn't shoot powerbelts at all and the sabots are too hard to load after you shoot one.  The guys at T/C told me to run a wet and then a dry patch through the barrel after EVERY shot.  They also told me that their Maxi Ball would shoot better than their Maxi Hunter.  I have aquired some of each, some Hornady Great Plains bullets, and some Buffalo Bores.  Haven't had a chance to shoot them yet.
