24 PDR British siege gun, British (ca 1748)
This gun is belived to be one of the several surrendered by British general Burgoyne to American General Horatio Gates after the Battle of Saratoga in New York 1777.






That is what you call real history. Took these pictures at the Fort Sill museum today as I left work.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but alot of soldiers to train and not alot of time[/img]

Thanks for the pix - last time I was there was 1970 - looks like the quality of the museum has improved a lot!
