what is conversion cyl and who sells them?

What are these and who sells them and what models do they fit? I have a 1860 from Cabela's with case hardened frame and was wondering if they are made for this model. Thanks

Conversion's originally were a transition piece to convert cap & ball pistols to shoot cartridges by means of replacing the cylinder with a new cut down cylinder and adding a back ring(plate) .

there are a number of ways that conversions can be made and Look for R & D, as they are now producing some convertors at a reasonable price.
Here's some pic's of a perfectly good Navy that I had wrecked by trying to make my own conversion as per Anvil's plans with no reflection on Anvil.
Just had trouble making the firing pin and ended up buying the Kirst Convertor as in the bottom pic.
