went to gunshow today with intention of only purchasing reloading supplies, so i did not carry a lot of cash and then i saw a couple really nice old remy's 1) 600 left hand bolt with rib in 6.5 rem magnum, in an old style laminte stock. other than the botched bedding job it would have been 95%+, price $1075.00 it was nice but not in my budget. 2) 788 in .243 overall condition 80% price $400.00. i have bought better ones for less. 3) 722 in 22-250, 90%; plus good wood, great metal, excellent bore, bolt face showed little use. had an old k12-03 weaver mounted on it price $375.00. cut a deal with the owner of the 722 put a down payment and will pay the balance and pick up rifle wedensday. what you guys think as described did i do the right thing buying the 722.
