A good friend of mine recently bought one and it is a nice rifle, I like the looks and feel of it.  When he first shot it he was getting horrendous groups, all that was done to it was have the trigger lightened to 2lbs.  We took it up to our gunsmith and had the action glass bedded and the barrel floated.  Yesterday morning with the same loads that were shooting 2" to 3" groups before were now shooting 3/8" to 1" groups.  It has been said that it is a mistake to take out Remingtons pressure points in the barrel channel but I feel the barrel is better free floated.  Our gunsmith beds the action and the chamber area of the barrel and it has worked well on every rifle I have had done or friends own and had done.
Good Shooting,
George

I have one and it shoots great!  I just shoot the factory remington ammo and I average a little under a half inch.  It is a fun round, although it is a little slow.  It still offers good knockdown power and will certaintly take down a dog.  I shot several yotes with mine, and had no problem with power.  It is also a pelt friendly round.  Buy it, and you will like it.  The only problem is the availablility of ammo.  Few choices for factory stuff, unless you reload, then you can play all you want.  Also, the triggers are stiff, but they are EASY to adjust.  Mine is at 3 lbs and now I get better groupings.
Accuracy doesn't come from the arrow, it comes from the Indian!

My quest for a 221 has just came to a end, as of yesterday the wife found my gun money, hid down in the bottom of my sock  drawer.  She decided it would go better for the daughter's wedding. I knew I should have been washing thous socks.
