I would put a taller front sight on it.

16" high at what range? I think if it were me, that barrel would be takin' a trip back to Mossberg Customer Service for exchange or a taller front sight. Give them a call, they have always taken care of ANY issue that I have ever had PRONTO. Something Remington could use a few lessons in. To me, Customer Service in a Company is darn near everything. They all have a problem from time to time, it's how they take care of their problems that show what they are made of and get them return business. Mossberg gets a PERFECT score in my case, Remington was a FAILURE in all four dealings I had with them.

Give them a call, they will take care of you.
