What kind of mounting system/Bushnell Phantom 2.5X?
« on: November 08, 2005, 04:41:14 AM »
I was wondering what kind of base or mounting system the Phantom 2.5x uses. My Colt Frontier scout has a Phantom 1.3x on it and I was wondering if the other scope would work with this base or hole spacing? Thanks.

If it's the rail mount, the 2.5x should slide right on like the 1.3x. I use the 1.3x and rail mount on an old Ruger single six and it does a pretty good job for what it cost me. :-)

What kind of mounting system/Bushnell Phant

Yes, it has a grooved rail like on .22 rifles. The 2.5's I've  seen for sale on Ebay don't have any mounts, just the scope, so they must be missing. I use a Colt Frontier Scout and the newer mounting systems wouldn't work and are too heavy anyhow. Thanks. Bob
