Barnes has made 180 grain 8mm's for a long time now. What's difference about this new bullet.
Actually, as far as the X bullet is concerned, I was hoping for a 160 grainer. The 180 grain X is kind of long for the 8x57 and given the performance of this bullet, a 160 grain, or even a 150 grain weight, would achieve higher velocities and would be a great deer bullet in any of the 8mm's.
As it is, the sierra 175 grain conventional jacketed spitzer sp shoots very well. An all copper 150-160 grain barnes x bullet would have the same external shape adn the 175 grain JSP and would be a very cool item.
