Has anyone had any experience with the  Rolling Blocks from the
Remington Custom Shop? I am thinking about getting one.

Howdy Wolfman,
I've owned two of them; one the mid range Sporter, and the other the Creedmore. I still have the Sporter. Both fine rifles. Sometimes, I think I should have kept the other one.........but that's another story.

My 2c for what its worth.

Wolfman, have you looked at the one that Ballard rifle company is building. It's made of 8620 and origional parts fit. It's supposed to be just like the real thing. Kinda pricy though, but pretty to look at.

Marty and JCP,

Thanks for your input regarding the Ballard and Remington Custom RBs.
I currently have a military RB in the shop to be rebarreled from
8X58R Danish to .45-70. If this doesn't work for me, I'll take a closer look at the Ballard and Remington guns.

Wolfman, I just completed a 45/70 on a no#5 military action last year. I used a Green mountain barrel, #1 heavy 34" long and I really love it. My oldest son built his right along side me and we've had a lot of fun shooting them . Thinking of shooting in a match or two this year if I can get these 52 year old eyes working good enough.
