Can't speak for the 45 colt but I got me one in 44mag bout 5 years ago. Its the most accurate of all my six guns. Never had a glitch with it cept all the screws need to be retightened or lock tited bout every other shoot. The trigger pull is HORRIBLE (bout 15lbs) but newer ones may be better. Never had an action job done just got used to it. all in all, good gun. bought mine new for $206.00, think they are bout $300.00 now
