need handloads for an 1894 marlin in .45 LC
« on: July 08, 2005, 07:24:00 AM »
I just bought a new 1894 in .45LC.

I am looking to find a safe load for say... a 300 gr Hard Cast bullet.

I would like to use W296. However, I will listen to any suggestions.

Thank you,

Gundawg

If you don't have a loadbook, I'd start with a search of Winchester powder's website for a starting load.  Just about all of the powder manufacturers post data.

Lot's of good loads out there, just be sure to use reputable data.

Good shooting.
